Holiday Food Baskets

It is Fall! Thanksgiving will be here before we know it. It is so exciting that due to the excellent response from the congregation last year the committee will be able to provide for more families this year. Thank you all. We are already starting to collect non-perishable food and monetary donations for the Thanksgiving Holiday Food Baskets. Food can be placed in the Coat room or Classroom “B”. Monetary donations can be placed in Rosa Mandich’s mailbox in the Coat room, please mark that it is for the baskets. Please see insert for requested items and to sign up to help.

We Are Collecting Gently Worn Coats

Look through your closets because for the month of November, we will be collecting any extra coats, any size, adult and children as long as they are in good shape. It’s that time of year when coats become a necessity for school children and adults. Last time we collected coats we received 300 that were distributed to families and individuals unable to purchase new ones. You can bring your coats to the “Coat” Room or place in the HIM truck, parked in the parking lot, when it is open. Any questions can be directed to Jeff Bruland or Gib Warnick. Thank you for contributions.

Fearless YG

Fearless YG is asking for your help.  Look for us collecting donations for Operation Christmas Child.  We as a Youth Group have a goal of doing 100 shoe boxes. We don’t want to interfere with what you are doing as a family.  However, we’d appreciate both your monetary donations as well as items for our shoe boxes.  We are focusing on Boys 10-14 and Boys 2-4.  Did you know these two age groups get the least shoe boxes of all?  Let’s send a message with a 100 boxes to the boys.  Look for us in the Connecting place between services.

Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Ministry

Montgomery is once again participating in the shoebox ministry. It provides an opportunity to help spread the good news of Jesus’ love for everyone to children all over the world. It’s an easy and fun project for all ages. Empty shoeboxes waiting to be filled can be found in the coatroom with instruction pamphlets as to what can be used. The shoeboxes are due back on Sunday, November 12th, 2017. Please return them to the front of the sanctuary on that Sunday so that they may be blessed as they start their journeys around the world. For further information, please contact Lynn Zebroski at lzebroski@comcast.net or 301-831-6040.
